"Deceit could finish out the plans." Hikari nodded her head, feeling as though her alphess would be more than happy to oblige. It would only be one pup out of many who would be dispelled on the quest. "Your mother would like to know where her younger daughter will be sent and why, i'm sure. Any mother, no matter who they are, would rather be aware of the situation of their own blood line."
"You can't send me away!" Somba detested with a loud growl. She narrowed her eyes on both Hikari and Opal, hatred brewing deep within. Yet within the confinds of her layered emotions, she feared being sent off. If she disobeyed her true family, she would die. And if Hikari was right and she disobeyed her possible new family, than she would be killed there as well. "Who says i'll be able to last if all you predict is death? You're going to send a pup away to do something that a pathetic kerl like yourself would be more suited?"
"Dear Somba. You will be fulfilling your destiny. You hate us, remember? You're so young that maybe some things you learn on your journey will give you some insight on how a wolf must live and fend for its family and territory. We will be teaching you without being there to mentor you." Hikari turned and bared her fangs. She was fed up, where at first she wanted to tolerate the attitude. She continued on, turning to Opal with a side-glance, "When this war is over our little Somba will understand respect. And if not...If she returns with the same bitter resentment -or a worse case of it-, than a whole pack can turn her tail and rip her hide."
"You think that the threat of death can stop me?" Somba turned angrily and started to walk away, but a quick and agile Hikari jumped before her and knocked her onto her rump. Somba let out a whimper and flattened her ears.
"Should we carry Somba to your mother ourselves, or should we call the Alpha pair to our position?" She looked at Opal. Either way, distributing the whelp would be simple enough, as well as keeping Somba stationary to wait for the Alpha's to show.

Deceit could finish out the plans.
" Indeed. I think she'll think of us as geniuses," I replied with a smirk, casting my gaze down at Somba. She was outraged, terrified, furious! She growled lightly at both of us, her eyes narrowing and wishing us both to tell. Oh, she would put up a fight, I could tell. She'd beg and plead to mother not to send her off, but there was no way Deceit could pass up on a chance like this, not if had any sense about her.
You can't send me away! Who says i'll be able to last if all you predict is death? You're going to send a pup away to do something that a pathetic kerl like yourself would be more suited?
" And how do you find us to be suited for the job? Are you an idiot, Somba? A grown wolf like us can't jsut waltz into enemy territory and gain their trust like it was nothing. They'll recognize us, it's much harder to get rid of such a developed scent as ours. You're still young, you can easily be altered," I replied. " And no, we can't send you away, but mother can. She's only going to use you as a tool to kill our enemies anyway, why wait until you actually have to fight when she can send you now and have you kill silently?"
Hikari added on, speaking to Somba then directing her words at me.
" Of course. If she doesn't learn anything from the journey, we'll just kill her. After the war she'll be of no use to anyone; death will be accepted by everyone, including mother," I added, grinning deviously at the pup.
You think the threat of death can stop me?
" When your own mother has her jaws wrapped around your tiny little throat, I think you'll be singing a different tune," I growled. " I think the threat of death will definitely stop you." She tried to walk away, only to be thrown back by Hikari. Was she to dumb to know that a grown wolf could outrun her?
Should we carry Somba to your mother ourselves or call the alpha pair to our position.
" Call them. Easier on us and a bit quicker," I replied. Having to carry Somba all the way back to the alpha den would take some time. And once our plan was confirmed, we'd have to walk all the way back to where we currently were before we even got out of the territory. Calling mother and father here would get Somba out of our lives much faster. So, I wasted no time throwing my maw into the air and sending out a quick howl for my parents.

In unison Hikari turned her parted maw to the heavens and let her own tune split across the open skys, to mend with Opal's, and create a beautiful summoning for their beloved and trusted alpha's. This sound made Somba cringe and for a moment considered escaping from the two insane females, but a second thought held her legs taught to the ground. She would have her chance to weasel her way out of this one. Father atleast loved her...Or so she thought. And maybe Mother did care, unlike Opal said. She watched with a mournful gaze, the fire dying in her lively orbs, and a trickle of tear forming in the corner of her right eye.
Hikari ended her song and smiled gently, keeping her eyes quietly hidden behind her lids. She would be praised for such a wonderful thought, and maybe her respect with the pack would raise. At first she detested this war, but if Somba could do as they hoped, than maybe this war wouldn't last as long, and the pack wouldn't have to fight so much. She would give Opal half of the credit, for she was there through the whole planning. And maybe even Somba will benefit from the life experience.

My tongue ran across the surface of a cold puddle's prisoner.
What was going on around here? I had no clue anymore. I didn't even know who was wandering around in my territory. Maybe a pack meeting wasa in order. I had lost touch with Animosity, Enastetyk and Somba altogether.
My white ears pricked up at the sound of a howl. Another joined in.
Opal...
I hadn't seen her in what seemed like ages. What did she need? She had never howled for me. She was the independent type...
I leapt forward over the puddle and trotted towards the sound of her howl and the other that was with her.
I picked up the pace, crossing gracefully over rocks scattered across the ground. My eyes searched for obstacles and prepped my back legs for a launch as they fell on a large boulder up ahead. I let my stride take me about 2 feet from the rock before I gracefully allowed my front paws to leave the ground and my hind legs to launch me upright.
I flew for a few seconds before my front paws touched down, claws sscraping a little before back legs landed with me. My instincts forced my eyes to quickly search in fron of me as I trotted along a few feet, never breaking my stride completely. I prepped myself to leap again to the next bit of rocks I found.
I reached the edge. My front and back paws gathered up just before tossing myself to the next set of obstacles. Again, I soared for a few seconds. My lithe body outstreched across the 4 foot gap between rocks. I landed front feet first, claws scraping once again. My hind legs joined me just in time to launch me forward again into my quick trot.
I leapt down, landing hard against the dirt path that wound through another set of rocks. I weaved easily through them and picked up my pace again. Why was I running to their beck and call? Shouldn't they have been coming to me?
Whatever.
My eyes spotted them. I slowed my stride and walked up to them. Head level with my shoulder as I looked at them all. Opal. Somba. And I couldn't remember if I had met this other wolf or not. If I had. I couldn't remember her name.
"Yes?" [/blockquote]

I heard Hikari's voice join into mine, and smiled as I brought my call to a close. Our howls sounded eerily beautiful, melting together as they soared into the firmament to beckon my parents, Hikari's alphas. It would take a few moments for one or both to arrive, and I glanced behind me at Somba. Her face was torn, afraid and mournful, hoping for a miracle. That's the only thing that could save her - a miracle. If mom didn't agree to the plan she was stupid, and I knew that she was far from that. She was exceedingly intelligent, leaving Somba's fate pretty much sealed.
The pounding of paws against the hard dirt made announced someone was here. I looked back up, my ears perking up as I stared ahead of me. Within a few seconds, the snowy white form of my mother trotted into the scene, head low as if she wasn't too happy to be there. I didn't figure she would be; she wasn't the type to come running to someone's aid. I'd actually expected dad to show up, rather than her.
Yes?
I smiled, wanting to hug her but refraining. It had been so long since I'd seen her, but the matteres to be discussed were more important than a family reunion. I was much closer to mom than Hikari, and figured it would be best for me to suggest the plan. I wasn't going to hesitate or draw it out either, I spoke up and laid it all out for her.
" It's good to see you mother," I started, tail wagging slightly behind me. " We've called you here to give you a proposition. You know I've despised this idea of war, but it's obviously inevitable. I'd like to make the battles at hand as simple a possible, ensuring all of our safeties while securing a definite victory. As far as I know, Somba here doesn't have an assigned position in the war, right?" I paused, but not long enough to receive an answer. " Well Hikari here told me of a plan she'd thought of that would not only help your cause, but get this annoying little twit off of our paws." I shot Somba a glare. " Somba is still young enough to be controlled and taught, and could easily mask her scent... Hikari says she knows just how to make her absolutely unidentifiable. Hikari has suggested that we take Somba to the borders of an enemy pack and leave her there. A pathetic little lost puppy would weigh on the hearts of almost anyone, and we're sure that the alphas would gladly take her in as one of their own, especially since they need all of the fighters they can get. While living in their territory, they'll teach her to fight as well as them. She'll learn everything she needs to know while getting to know the hierarchy of the pack and getting close to the crucial members. Once she's been taught how to fight, she can begin picking off the important wolves one by one. Killing all of the pups, the fighters, the healers, the hunters, and doing it all silently so that no one would suspect the alpha's little innocent foster-daughter. The pack will dwindle to nothing, leaving us with pretty much only two other packs to deal with. It's genius; Somba will be forced to oblige by their rules, but will keep her mission in mind for fear of us killing her as punishment," I said, throwing it out at once before pausing. " The question is, which pack to send her to? Lightning, Lumination or Bloodshed? And of course, you must approve..." I added, staring at her with a small smile.

Hikari lowered her head in respect as the dragga padded towards them. She'd seen her alpha many occasions, but kept quiet and to the back. The sisters accepted her, and slowly the pack was beginning to recognize her presence. She felt a bit of pride for the idea that Opal and she had thought up, and she sent a glance Somba's way. She could see the young pup shivering as she rose to her feet and scooted closer to her mother. There was uncertainty in the pups eyes. But soon enough, Hikari returned her gaze back to Opal as she spoke and then towards the Drappa's direction for a positive remark. She would never look the highers in the eyes, for it was taboo and disrespectful. The best place to look is on the forehead, but fear for a negative reaction, Hikari kept her eyes away.
Somba quietly slinked closer to her mother, on edge and ready to recoil lest a bite was to be avoided. She was whining at her mothers feet, but keeping a good few inches from her mothers warmth. She was fighting an urge to speak against such absurd plannings, biting her tongue tight in her molars. But when she saw Hikari's devilish stare, the young pup snarled and turned her angry gaze to her mother. "Please, don't listen to them, Mother! It won't work! What makes them think they can just sneak me off to another pack, and why are they so sure they won't kill me? Am I really so insignificant that you should send your own daughter to death?" That bitchy, angry ficade had faded now into pure love and hope towards her mother. Though somewhere in the confines of her deeply confused and bitter mind, she knew better. She never understood true love from the pack and had caught resentment. Her emerald eyes burned when they cast towards Opal and Hikari.
"They just want me dead! They're coniving demons! Why not send them away? Hikari is perfect for it! No one cares about her!" She was raising her voice and clearly upset.
Hikari snapped the air at the pup, forgetting of the Drappa's presence, though the comment of Opal and her being so 'coniving' and demon-like brought a torrent of emotions. She wouldn't speak, and gave Opal a look that had said so.

'It's good to see you mother.'
I nodded in response. It was always good to see Opal. Sometimes I believed she was the only sane wolf in this pack. But what exactly did I know. I was only their Alphess. I still wasn't sure why I was here.
"So what is the meaning of this?"
My voiced question was soon answered by the sane one.
'We've called you here to give you a proposition. You know I've despised this idea of war, but it's obviously inevitable. I'd like to make the battles at hand as simple a possible, ensuring all of our safeties while securing a definite victory. As far as I know, Somba here doesn't have an assigned position in the war, right?'
I nodded, but something about the way she spoke said that she wasn't actually waiting for an answer. So in response to all that she had just said, a nod was sufficient.
'Well Hikari here told me of a plan she'd thought of that would not only help your cause, but get this annoying little twit off of our paws.'
I hadn't really gotten to know Somba after she had ventured out of the den. I just knew that she had a bad temper. I also knew that she had once been a prime candidate for the army I was putting together. But I was wiling to listen to this plan as Opal put it.
'Somba is still young enough to be controlled and taught, and could easily mask her scent... It's genius; Somba will be forced to oblige by their rules, but will keep her mission in mind for fear of us killing her as punishment.'
I nodded again. It seemed to be the easiest response by this point. My blue eyes shifted to Spmba. She didn't seem at all thrilled about this whole plan. But who could really blame her? We were talking about taking her from everything she had ever known and setting her in enemy's paws. We were going to set her right at their borders and let them decide her fate. But if they should so take her in, they decided their own. I shifted back to Opal.
'The question is, which pack to send her to? Lightning, Lumination or Bloodshed? And of course, you must approve...'
I looked at Somba again, and then to the other female. I was trying to place her name. Hi...Hi....hmmm...
Somba moved towards me. I wondered what her retort would be to all of this. And evidently, it was to look helpless and beg for my mercy. But in the end, I made the final decision.
'Please, don't listen to them, Mother! It won't work! What makes them think they can just sneak me off to another pack, and why are they so sure they won't kill me? Am I really so insignificant that you should send your own daughter to death?'
I smirked down at her.
"Death, dear?"
She wouldn't like this answer, or she would find it a challenge and move on with wanting to complete it. But then again, I had always been a good manipulator.
"You are not at all insignificant. And it sounds to me like you decide if you die or not. You can either obey, or let them, or us, kill you. If you are so tough, you should be able to handle yourself in any pack we put you in, right? And I can't allow a weakling in my army. Think of it as a secret mission only you can complete."
I stared at her with midnight blue optics. A sweet look on my face with a dash of almost unrecognizable sarcasm.
'They just want me dead! They're coniving demons! Why not send them away? Hikari is perfect for it! No one cares about her!'
Hikari! That was it. That was her name. Oh wait...I was supposed to be caring about Somba and her issue right now. And probably the meanest words ever came out of my mouth.
"But dear Somba,"
There was nothing harsh about them. A sweet melody wrapped around each syllable. My eyes remained sincere. But I needed her hatred. I needed to loath something. I wanted her to channel that anger on the pack we were going to send her to. I blinked politely, a quick bat of the eyelashes, that dainty look still plastered on my face.
"Whoever said we cared about you..." [/blockquote]

((Your post sounds just like Priceless in real life... The sarcasm, the evil... the saying it sweetly to make it even more evil... lol. I'll post tomorrow.. my computer charger broke and I only have a few minutes of battery left. :[ ))
I listened intently for my mother's responses as I finished my proposition, eyes sliding over her for any trace of approval in her facial features. I saw none; she kept her face rather unemotional... Blank, but you could tell she was listening. It frustrated me to not know her response, the suspense of having to sit through the silence she was keeping nearly killing me. And as Somba burst forth with her pathetic display, it made it even worse. I though about turning around and snapping down the little bitch's throat, but didn't want to make her seem right. Her words were true, but if was going to effect mom's decision any she didn't need a reason to believe her.
Death dear? You are not at all insignificant. And it sounds to me like you decide if you die or not. You can either obey, or let them, or us, kill you. If you are so tough, you should be able to handle yourself in any pack we put you in, right? And I can't allow a weakling in my army. Think of it as a secret mission only you can complete.
Holy shit she was going to do it! That would make one less of her little mongrels I'd have to deal with! I smirked half-way, not wanting to look confident and cocky. I was pleased though, and I turned my muzzle to grin tauntingly at Somba. She lurched forward again, begging to send Hikari instead of her. I glared. Pathetic waste of flesh.
But dear Somba... Whoever said we cared about you.
I couldn't help but smirk victoriously back at Somba. I wanted to jump up in her face, yell, 'ha-ha, told ya bitch!', but, I contained myself. Getting to hear the way too sweet way in which she said she didn't care about her, making it that much more painful, was much better than actually sending her off. I knew that would rip at her heart whether she showed it or not. " So, I take it we will be sending her off?" I questioned, looking back at mom for confirmation.
