Wolves Unlimited V3 takes place in future America, and is a continuation of my previous sites, Wolves Unlimited, and Wolves Unlimited V2:Rebirth. Here is basically what has happened since the creation of W.U.
W.U. The Sanctuary
The setting of our magnificent roleplay, is not a secluded forest in the heart of America, but it is a man-made reserve. Our story takes place in the near future, and wolves are nearly extinct. A small south eastern city, Lindore, have voted to solve America's wolf shortage. They took acres of country-side, and fenced it in. The area included many natural features; rolling hills; deep valleys; colorful meadows; barren plains; sky-scraping mountains; placid lakes; crystal rivers; and even a canyon. They dubbed it Wolves Unlimited, and it was their sanctuary, a haven for all creatures.
The Founding Wolves And Their Packs
They first captured 2 wild timber wolves, hoping to create a single super-pack. With the wolves, they introduced American creatures from deer, to bear, to cougar, to goat. The creatures thrived in the beautiful home, and the wolves had their first litter. Among the group was the a young ivory female, Lunar. She became alphess of what the wolves called the Lightning Pack. However, there was a fault in their original plan. One patch of the fence that surrounded the enclosure was faulty, and broke with time. This created a passageway for any kind of animal to leave or enter through. Of course, speak of the magnificent paradise spread throughout the wolven community. Different breeds began coming in, some more independent than others. The more hating of the species felt a need to break away and form new territories. This brought about the creation of the Shadow Pack. This young pack was led by two young brothers and their mates, Darrian and Kane. In time, these two packs could not sustain the every-growing population. Fights and problems began to arise, so two new wolves stepped up. Sin, another evil wolf rose to create the Bloodshed Pack. Blaze, his kind-hearted son created the fourth, the Lumination Pack. And of course, the growing population had a negative effect on the other creatures. They wanted a territory to call their own, on which no wolves could claim land or permanently take host. So, the largest animal in the forest, the grizzly bear, took the last spot of land for their own. Ryanna and Steel were the grizzly overseers, while a couple cougars ruled under them.
The Downfall
The four wolf packs and the Non-wolf terra lived happily for many years, the animals and land blossoming beautifully. There was always conflict here and there, but it was always resolved to benefit everyone. The founding fathers...and mother(Lunar), gave up their thrown, were overthrown, or got tired. The hierarchy shifted many times...everything seemed great. However, the fence around Wolves Unlimited was weakening further. Now that the wolf population had become semi-stable, the Lindorians let the sanctuary slide. A whole formed in the barrier between Lindore and the sanctuary. This was what caused the fall of the packs.
A young three year old, slipped into the sanctuary. The Lumination pack was claimed by the Kimono Clan, the Bloodshed by Necrosis, the Lightning and Shadow packs were claimed by Kane II. Kane II's daughter, Desdemona, picked up the child and began raising it. She taught it the ways of the wild and made it a fierce hunter. Her father had accepted the child as well, having plans for it. At the age of 13, Kane II had died and Desdemona and her brother Fenrir led the pack. Desdemona had a 2 year old, Kane III, and their plot began. The Lightning pack waged war on all of the opposing packs. All of the current leaders were power-hunger killers, and quickly agreed. Sadly, they didn't know of Desdemona's secret weapon. The Lightning wolves moved onto the battle field, led by their rebellious human, Kirven, and his horse; The war began.
It raged for days, murder after murder, but Kirven stayed on top. None could defeat him, and he himself had become power-hungry. In spare time, the hungry 'animal' even began killing non-wolves...it was terrible. As the numbers began to drop into single, another conflict arose. Kirven had become a bossy young dictator. Kane III, being the rebellious 2 year he was refused to be ruled by an inferior human. He waited safely until the numbers had dwindled into the single digits. On the final day of the battle, 4 wolves and one human came to the battlefield. Necrosis, Fenrir, Desdemona, Kane III, and Kirven. At first, it seemed like Necrosis was a goner, but Kane turned. Necrosis, although surprised, gave a dirty smirk and the two of them killed Desdemona, Fenrir, and amazingly, Kirven. Kane then turned around again, setting his sights on Necrosis. The two fought for what seemed like hours, before the younger two year was victorious.
And the war was over. A single wolf stood, ruler of an empty paradise.
The Rebirth
Kane III was afraid that nothing would bring back the once booming wolf population. He was the only survivor...he thought. Unknown to him, the humans had observed the final murder, and had began fixing the problem. They had released a yearling femme and patched the second hole, leaving the first one open to outside wolves. Kane found the female within days of her release, and the two made a plan. The female, he found to be called Akela, agreed to leave the sanctuary long enough to spread word of the rebirth. She would then come back and take claim of the pack of her choice. She disappeared for a few months, roaming far and wide to bring wolves back to the bloodstained paradise. She finally returned, and thankfully, so did other wolves. Kane became alpha of the Bloodshed Pack, and Akela to the Lightning Pack.
Wolves began to pour in, and soon there was an alpha to both of the other packs. Katai to the Shadow Pack, and Kyieth to the Lumination Pack. Akela had found herself a mate Ky, and all of the packs were filling up with wolves. Everything seemed to be going good, and it did for quite some time. The packs kept to themselves and didn't bother one another. The gods though, weren't as happy as the new packs were. All of the wolves except for Kane were foreign to the ways of the sanctuary, and most of them didn't even know who the gods were. None of the divine beings were getting the worship they deserved, and outraged, they began to reek havoc amongst the wolves.
Liam, the god of life, began setting simple things like harsh storms, famine, and disease into the packs to warn the wolves that they meant business. Small things like this went on for quite some time, but none of it seemed to be helping. Taking matters into his own hands, Dhaval, the god of death, had his own way of dealing with the ungrateful creatures. By this time, Akela had gotten a new mate Zorai, Kane had gotten himself a girl, Masquerade, and Katai had died.
The War
Fear, an aged female that had been around since before the downfall returned to the Shadow Pack. And doing what she does best, killed Katai, as well as several pups of what became the new alpha and alphess, Denali and Deceitful Illusion. Deceit and Denali had concocted a plan to raise three pups from three separate litters to became crazy killing machines. And rather than let Anuke decide the personalities of the puppies, Dhaval put a bit of his hell into one of each of the pups.
Little did he know, this would cause more upset than he could ever imagine. The pups were headed for war, their parents desiring to take all four packs for themselves. By giving them just what they wanted, Animosity, and 2 more pups yet to be born, Dhaval was creating another downfall. The gods saw that there would be war no matter what they did, so they set a plan in motion to make sure that the side opposing Deceit's army would surely win.
A pup from each alpha that wasn't affiliated with Deceit and Denali was to be taken and trained by the gods themselves. Each pup would receive an element to take to battle with them, securing their victory. But is a few blessed pups enough to kill creatures like Animosity? Or will the victory depend on the normal wolves, fighting to keep their packland? Is it safer to side with Deceit, or join with Kane, Zorai, and Kyieth? In the midst of war, the answer is unclear. But it is up to you, the new wolf in the sanctuary to decide who you side with, and possibly, who wins the war.
