** Hello, and welcome to Wolves Unlimited! Before you get to reading the rules, I'll warn you that there are quite a few. It's not that I'm trying to be overly strict, but without guidelines there is no way a forum could function properly. The rules here are pretty easy to follow, seeing that I've never really had a problem with them since the creation of v1, so don't let the length intimidate you!
TIME SYSTEM
Every six months is a year, and the seasons will play like this:
January-June
Spring:2 month
Summer:2 months
Fall:1 month
Winter:1 months
July-December

General
- New rules will have a different color than the other text. This will most always be Red
- Swearing is allowed, just don't be stupid. Label explicit threads in the title.
- Respect. It is vital in the site's survival. Respect the admins, respect the moderators, and most importantly, respect the rules.
- No fighting in OOC. AT ALL. Take it to the PMs.
- Don't bring your personal problems on here, you're not going to receive a pity party. It messes up the roleplays and no one wants to hear it.
- Respect your moderators, admins and co-admins.
- If you are going away, please post on the absent board. It makes it easier on all of us. If you haven't logged on in 30 days without notice of absence, you will be deleted without warning.
- You may use liquid time, but be reasonable about it, please.
Posting
- Posts must be at least 5 sentences long. That's a PARAGRAPH people! Dialog does not count. If you're not at least that literate, you don't need to be here.
- You may post in either 3rd person(He, she, his, her), or in 1st person(I, me, my, mine). I won't be picky on it, but try and pick a style and stick with it. I don't want you to roleplay the same character in first and third person in the same thread, it gets confusing.
- Pickle is the word. :]
- Everytime you use chatspeak in character, a kitten develops a malignant tumor and dies. [ths is cht spek. how r u? lyke omg! luvs ya, ttyl, byes!] So, don't use chatspeak. It's annoying and kills kittens.
- Try to be descriptive. Details, well, we love details. Yay details!
- Use correct grammar, punctuation, and spelling. We have a spell check button, use it!
- Post often, post long, post happily. We are here to post, not to sit on our lazy arses.
Joining
- Post in the correct registration board with your character's profile as soon as possible.
- Post as soon as possible. If you have not got at least one character up in two weeks, you will be deleted without warning.
Fighting
- Organized fights must take place in the neutral territory. The, meet my by the flag pole at 3 o'clock type fights. Of course they're going to break out wherever a pair is arguing sometimes, but they're easier to keep track of when they're on the battlegrounds.
- Here we use a system where you have 5 posts(This # is subjective to change, so check this rule before fighting). You will have no more than two moves per post, a dodge and an attack, or just an attack.
- You cannot dodge more than three times during a fight.
- Be reasonable. If your wolf's attack is dodged, it is open to an attack, and shouldn't be able to dodge.
- ONE ATTACK PER POST! And leave your attack open...example:(Blackie threw his head forward, his teeth open and aimed at the jugular.)This way, the attacked has a chance to dodge it.
- An admin will decide the outcome of the fight. One of us will come in and give our decision based on your wolf's bio, hierarchy status, the extent of your wolf's injuries, and how fair and detailed you post. After our decision is posted you will be free to end the fight according to our decision.
- Do not complain about a decision. It is fair and final, so do NOT try and cause trouble.
Characters
--General--
- Be realistic. No wings or anything like that. Jewelry is allowed to an extent. Wolves aren't going to be able to obtain things like diamond bracelets or fancy earings and such, so be reasonable.
- No elements or powers. Occasionally these will be used in a plot with the gods, but unless I tell you your wolf can have a specific power, I don't want to see any of it. Odd colors are allowed to an extent. I don't want a pink and green wolf walking around, it's ridiculous.
- Odd eye colors are allowed. Your wolf cannot have completely white eyes, or completely black eyes, because those could indicate blindness. Anything is okay.
Colors can be mixed, such as orange with a blue rim.
All eyes must have pupils(the black in the center) and an iris(the color between the black and the white) unless the wolf is blind.(black, white.) - You can have four wolves. Each character after that will cost 100 points.
- Your first four characters can have odd eye colors and odd pelt colors for free. You may also use two pieces of free jewelry(if you use both on one wolf, you can't have any for the other three without paying, and so on). Anything else must be paid for. Each extra character cannot have special eye colors, jewelry, special markings (like a heart shape in its fur), or pretty much anything that wouldn't be found on your average wolf without paying for it.
- If one of your four characters has pups, you can keep the pups free of charge. I'm not saying keep all of them, be reasonable. Keep one or two for yourself and put the rest up for adoption.
- You must wait for your character to be approved before you roleplay. If I'm gone, I will have another admin approve it.
- Your charrie can die, be it from injuries, disease or old age.
- Wolves live to be 13 years old. Your wolf needs to expire at this age. If you want it to live longer, you may purchase life, by the year, in the store.
[/li][li]Wolves that are 10 years old are automatically considered elders.
[/li][li]Please use the correct term when referring to your wolf, be it male, female, or pup.
[/li][li]No wolves can have any special powers because the 'gods' said so. VERY rarely is an animal blessed, and either way only I can bless, considering I own both Liam and Dhaval. Do NOT put that your character is blessed in it's bio, no animals come here like that.
[/li][/ul]
Adoption
- You can adopt as many characters as you want as long as you can pay for them.
- Putting a wolf up for adoption is free.
- It costs 20 points to adopt any adult wolf (unless marked otherwise).
- It costs 50 points to adopt a pup.
Mating/Birthing
- Breed in the Spring and Fall.
- To breed, you must fill out the form found in A Merging of Souls and post it there. You can play out the mating wherever you want, if you wish. This way I can keep track of all of the matings and their outcomes. You will also receive the statistics of your pups in the same thread.
[/li][li]There is a possibility that the pregnancy won't take. I will post whether it does or not, and how many pups your wolf will have if it does. I will also post if any of those pups do not survive the birth.
[/li][li]You may decide the gender, eye color and fur color of the pups.
[/li][li]Your pup may be born with defects. These are to be decided by the admin tending to your mating thread. These can be pretty much any disease and defect known to man, including those that humans can acquire. This gives the character a much more interesting personality, and can be a joy to play. Every pup that is born isn't born perfect.[/color]
[/li][li]Avoid descriptiveness in mating. Wolves have only 1 way of getting it done...there's really nothing to be detailed about. But, if you must, put a R in the title.
[/li][li]Give birth in the Summer and Winter.
[/li][li]There is no certain gestation period in the roleplays, as long as the pups are born in the correct season.
[/li][/ul]
Owning A Pack
- Only males can own a pack. Females can share with their mate, but it is the male that owns it. The only circumstance in which a female may own a pack, is if her mate is killed or leaves.
- You cannot own all of the packs. You can try, as part of a plot, but try not to allow it to happen.
- You must keep one thread in your terra locked, and it must have a list of all of the:
Alpha
Alphess
Beta Male
Beta Female
Males
Females
Pups
This way I will know which wolves belong to which packs. - You may also adds things such as 'Elders' and 'Lead Hunters' if you wish to set your pack up like that, or be that detailed. It's not manditory, completely optional.
- You must keep me updated on any important events that happen within your pack.
Owning a God
- The gods used on the proboards are strictly fictional, so do not refer to them as anything else.
- To claim a god, PM me a completed form referring to the god of your choice. The form can be found on the gods board.
- I rarely decline god request, but if I do, please do not question or contradict my decision.
- Gods are not creatures that show theirselves to the mortal very often, remember that.
- If your god does make an appearance before a creature, and decides for whatever reason to grant it a wish or bless it, that is fine. But, your god must have a meeting with Liam in the Den of Decision. He will decide whether or not it is right to bless the creature.
- You can NOT use your god to kill another animal just because you don't like it, or to aid your own characters. If this happens, your god will be taken from you.
- You may have up to two gods.
- Gods may use liquid time.
The Store
- The store board will have a post listing all of the things that you may purchase for yourself or your character.
- To buy something, create a new thread with your name in the title. Put a detailed description of what you want in the message. If you are buying a graphic, an admin will reply that your points have been subtracted, and tell you to go to the board of the designer of your choice and put in an application with them. The designer will get to you asap. If you are buying a character, or something for your character, an admin will reply that your points have been subtracted and that you can create the character or use whatever you purchased.
- If you know you don't have enough points for something, don't bother trying to buy it.
